This free GST invoice template for Excel contains every field a tax invoice needs under the CGST Rules: supplier and customer GSTIN, consecutive number, date, place of supply, HSN/SAC per line, taxable value, and tax split into CGST and SGST (or IGST for inter-state sales) calculated by formulas. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets, fill in the yellow fields and print to PDF.

Can I use this template for e-invoicing?
No. E-invoicing requires reporting to the IRP for an IRN; a spreadsheet cannot do that. Use it for B2C and below-threshold B2B invoices, or use Billing Software by Betterwork for IRN generation.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open with Sheets; formulas carry over.
Which GST rates are pre-filled?
18% by default on each line; change the Tax % cell per item to 5, 12, 28 or 40 as applicable.
