VAT billing software for Dubai and the UAE: FAQ

UAE billing software questions and answers

Do I need FTA-approved billing software in the UAE?

The FTA does not publish a list of approved billing software for VAT invoices. What matters is that your invoices contain every mandatory field. For e-invoicing, businesses will work through accredited service providers.

Can invoices be in English only?

Yes, English invoices are accepted, but the FTA can ask for an Arabic translation. Bilingual templates avoid that request.

Can I invoice in USD?

Yes. You can invoice in any currency, but the VAT amount must also be shown in AED using the Central Bank rate.
